Philips
Norelco
7180XL Cord/Cordless
Rechargeable Shaver
The
7180XL is one of Philips Norelco's low-cost cordless shavers. You can read
some details at the
company website.
However, the best guidance is probably at the Amazon.com website, with an
extensive product description and a large comparison table of all the
various Philips Norelco models.
According to the product description:
- Precision Cutting System - ultra thin heads with slots to shave long
hairs and holes to shave the shortest stubble.
- Unique Lift & Cut Technology - dual blade system lifts hair to cut
comfortably below skin level; stainless blades for comfortably close shaves
- Patented Reflex Action Shaving System - automatically adjusts to every
curve on your face for flexible, smoother shaving
- Simply rinses clean under the tap
- New ergonomic design features rubber grips making it more comfortable and
easier to use
I have not been able to find online any independent, objective reviews of
the 7180XL. However, sales sites like Amazon.com carry very useful consumer
reviews. These often provide extremely practical guidance.
Here are excerpts from a couple of Amazon.com reviews:
* If you are thinking about trying one, just do it - if it works for you,
great, if not, then go back to a blade. But in my mind, 50 bucks for this
was a steal, you don't need to spend 169 or whatever the cost is on a fancy
bells and whistles razor, this one works fine - and I plan on using it as my
daily shaver.
* I had a $150.00 Braun and this Norelco 7180XL is so much better. I get a
smooth shave that I didn't get with my Braun. The Braun is well made but
can't compare to the Norelco 7180XL.
