The low-cost 7310 and the 7340 (pictured) are described by Philips Norelco as the 7000 series of shavers. You can read more at the company's website. The main difference is that the more expensive 7340 offers what the company calls its Precision Cutting System, which claims to provide a closer shave.

I have not been able to find online any independent, objective reviews of the shaver. Nor - unusually - can I find any reviews at Amazon.com, where, as I write, both shavers rank very lowly in the sales charts.
