Braun SynchroPro Shavers
The Braun Synchro
Pro shavers have been among the most popular men’s shavers on the market. There are three types – the basic 7505, the 7526, which incorporates the company's Clean&Renew cleaning system, and the top-of-the-line 7680, with enhanced LED displays.

Unfortunately, it is difficult to find objective, independent reviews online.

Several dedicated shaving websites provide significant numbers of user reviews and comments. One of the most popular is the Electric Shaver Page website. The Tell Mr. Steel Beard pages provide a forum for electric shaver users to comment on their experiences.

Shopping sites like Amazon.com and Epinions.com are good places to find user reviews. For example, at Epinions.com you can find more than 70 reviews of the 7526 model, with an average rating of an excellent four stars.

Here’s an excerpt from a five-star review:

Pros
Very comfortable, much better than 2 rotary shavers I've used. Seems well built.

Cons
Expensive (without a great sale). Also expensive to keep buying the cleaning fluid. Noisy.

The Bottom Line
The quality of the Braun shaver is so high that I would never go back to Remington or Norelco shavers again.

I purchased this shaver 2 months ago and I'm still actually enjoying shaving each morning. I really cannot believe how much better it is than my previous shavers. My previous were Remington and Norelco rotary shavers….This Braun shaver is much more comfortable, gives a much better shave, and ... there's something about it that just makes you actually WANT to use it.

For one thing, the self-cleaning system makes you feel like you have a brand new shaver each time. But I think the main thing is that this Braun product is simply a superior crafted machine. Although I've only had it 2 months at this point, it definitely feels durable, and with the self cleaning system constantly keeping it in top condition, I'm betting it will last much longer than other shavers. I'll post here if that isn't true.

Here is part of an official Amazon.com review of the 7526 model:

With a pivoting head that oscillates from side to side and large foil holes to capture more hairs in fewer strokes, this shaver delivers a quick, smooth shave. When you're done, the shaver stores in a stand that cleans, lubricates, and charges it so it's in perfect condition for the next shave. Operating with or without a cord, the razor has a pop-up trimmer for mustache and sideburns and works worldwide on 110- to 240-volt systems.

It recharges fully in one hour for 50 minutes of shaving time or charges in three minutes for a quick shave. The razor, cord, and cleaning brush fit into a leather traveling case. The Clean & Charge stand offers three options: clean, charge, or both. Cleaning fluid is drawn from a cartridge (included, with refill cartridges available) that lasts for about 30 cleaning cycles and inserts easily into the stand. The shaver carries a two-year warranty against defects (foil and cutter block excluded).
