Cuisinart Toaster Ovens

Cuisinart lists six toaster oven broiler models at its company website. These start from the $120 (list price) RTO-20 Retro Toaster Oven Broiler to the $290 TOB-175 Brushed Chrome/Black Convection Toaster Oven Broiler (pictured).

The Kitchen Contraptions website carries a review of the TOB-165 and TOB-175 models:

I can't say enough good things about this toaster oven. The controls are a breeze - the toast it makes is amazing. You can put the rack at three different levels and it does a hell of a good job making a bagel.

The first thing I did when it arrived? Well - I roasted a 4.5lb chicken in it and it only took and hour! The chicken came out amazing. Just amazing. I love this thing. I can't wait for the summer when I don't fire up the giant oven and can use this instead for those baking jobs.

Sales sites like Amazon.com and Epinions.com carry a substantial number of consumer reviews of kitchen products like toaster ovens, and a perusal of these can give potential buyers a very sound feeling about their pros and cons.

Here's a review of the Cuisinart TOB-175 at Amazon.com, from a reviewer who awarded it five stars (out of five):

I really enjoy this product. We were looking to replace a basic GE toaster oven we have had for years. The Cuisinart toaster/oven is large enough to do a casserole, and as I am typing this review have a #3 pork loin roast baking in it. (That is a real plus here where it is hot and we don't want to heat up the whole house by turning on the oven). The toaster/bagel feature is great and the claims made by the company regarding even cooking are true. We have not had an opportunity to use the convection feature, but when we do I am sure that it will work just as reliably. I also like the wipe clean front surface with no knobs to break or be difficult to clean around. While it is a bit more expensive than I was planning on spending, I feel that the extra cost is worth it. I highly recommend this model to anyone looking to purchase a new toaster oven combo or replace an old standby.
